At SCILABS NUTRITION, we process personal data provided by data subjects for various purposes:

  • Processing of images for promotional purposes: Capturing, disseminating, and publishing images and/or videos for promotional purposes on the Internet (social media, video platforms, websites), company publications, and other media.
  • Processing of customer data: Administrative, accounting, and tax management of purchased products and requested services, as well as sending promotional communications regarding our products.
  • Processing of customer data collected in the purchase section of the website: Processing orders, managing administrative, accounting, and tax aspects of the order, improving website experience, and sending promotional communications.
  • Processing of potential customers and contacts: Managing potential customer inquiries about our products and services, and sending promotional communications, including electronically.
  • Processing of supplier data: Managing suppliers’ administrative, accounting, and tax information, as well as professional contact details.
  • Processing data for exercising data subject rights: Managing requests to exercise rights under applicable data protection regulations.
  • Processing of data collected in website registration: Enhancing website experience and creating a user profile with access to entered data and order history.
  • Processing of data collected via the website contact form: Handling inquiries submitted by users.

No automated decision-making is performed based on the provided data.

Failure to provide personal data may prevent us from fulfilling the purposes described.

Data retention periods vary depending on the type of processing:

  • Processing of images for promotional purposes: Retained until the data subject requests deletion.
  • Processing of customer data: Retained until the data subject requests deletion, and, if applicable, for the legally required period.
  • Processing of customer data collected in the purchase section of the website: Retained until the data subject requests deletion, and, if applicable, for the legally required period.
  • Processing of potential customers and contacts: Retained until the data subject requests deletion.
  • Processing of supplier data: Retained until the data subject requests deletion, and, if applicable, for the legally required period.
  • Processing data for exercising data subject rights: Retained as long as necessary to process requests and at least three years for possible claims.
  • Processing of data collected in website registration: Retained as long as necessary to process requests and until deletion is requested.

Each type of processing has a specific legal basis. Therefore, we indicate the legal basis for each of the data processing activities carried out by SCILABS NUTRITION:

    • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures: Management of customers’ fiscal, accounting, and administrative matters. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Depending on the type of data processing, data may be disclosed to other recipients. Generally, such disclosures occur due to legal obligations that SCILABS NUTRITION must comply with.

    • Internet (social media, video platforms, and websites), the company’s website, and other media outlets, for the purpose of sharing and publishing images and/or videos for promotional purposes.
  • Processing of customer data: Data will not be shared with third parties, except when legally required.
  • Processing of customer data collected in the purchase section of the website:
    • Delivery and logistics companies, for the purpose of delivering the products purchased via the website (contractual requirement).
  • Processing of potential customers and contacts: Data will not be shared with third parties, except when legally required.
  • Processing of supplier data: Data will not be shared with third parties, except when legally required.
  • Processing data for exercising data subject rights:
    • Supervisory authorities and public administration bodies, for the purpose of handling requests and potential claims.
  • Processing of data collected in website registration: Data will not be shared with third parties, except when legally required.
  • Processing of data collected via the website contact form: Data will not be shared with third parties, except when legally required
  • Processing of data via cookies: Data recipients will vary depending on the cookies accepted (see Cookies Policy).

6. Transfers of data to third countries

The data processed by SCILABS NUTRITION is stored and processed within the European Economic Area (EEA), in accordance with:

  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).

If, in any case, it becomes necessary to transfer data outside the EEA (for example, for cloud services provided by third-country providers), the appropriate legal safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or Binding Corporate Rules) will be adopted to ensure an adequate level of protection, in compliance with the GDPR.


7. What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

Any individual has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether SCILABS NUTRITION is processing personal data concerning them.

Data subjects have the right to access their personal data, request the rectification of inaccurate data, or, where applicable, request the deletion of data when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. They also have the right to data portability.

Under certain circumstances, data subjects may request the restriction of processing, in which case we will only retain the data for the exercise or defense of legal claims.

Under certain circumstances and for reasons related to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data. In such cases, SCILABS NUTRITION will cease processing the data, except for compelling legitimate grounds or for the exercise or defense of potential claims.

In the event that a data subject believes their rights regarding personal data protection have been violated, especially if they have not obtained satisfaction in exercising their rights, they may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
